Phoebe Bridgers Returns With ‘Lost Weekend,’ Her First Solo Album in Six Years

16 August 2026 — Phoebe Bridgers has returned to solo album mode with Lost Weekend, her third full-length record and first solo release since 2020’s Punisher.

Released August 14 through Dead Oceans, the album arrives after six years in which Bridgers’ profile expanded far beyond her earlier indie-rock breakthrough. Her work with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus in boygenius earned three Grammy Awards in 2024, while collaborations with artists including Taylor Swift and SZA brought her writing to an even wider audience.

A record shaped by the years in between

Lost Weekend is built as a collage rather than a straight chronology. The music incorporates radio noise, party sounds, voicemail and abrupt shifts in texture, placing private memories inside arrangements that can move from restrained folk to harder guitars and electronic detail.

The album reflects the years since Bridgers’ last solo release, shaped by personal change, grief and new relationships. The record is dedicated to her father, who died in 2022.

The return extends beyond the album

Bridgers is supporting the release with The Lost Tour, a major arena run across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe. The scale of the tour reflects how much her audience has grown since Punisher arrived during the pandemic.

A six-year gap created unusually high expectations, but Lost Weekend does not simply repeat the sound of Bridgers’ earlier work. Its layered production and fragmented structure position the album as both a return and a deliberate step into less predictable territory.
