Morgan Wallen's inaugural 'Sand in My Boots' festival, held from May 16 to 18, 2025, in Gulf Shores, Alabama, marked a significant moment in the country music star's career. Taking over the site of the former Hangout Music Festival, the event showcased Wallen's diverse musical tastes and his ability to curate a festival that transcends traditional genre boundaries.

The three-day festival featured an eclectic mix of over 30 artists spanning country, hip-hop, EDM, and indie rock. Headliners included Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and HARDY, alongside performances by T-Pain, Diplo, Wiz Khalifa, The War on Drugs, 2 Chainz, Three 6 Mafia, 3 Doors Down, Chase Rice, Paul Cauthen, and Future Islands. This diverse lineup reflected Wallen's personal playlist and his desire to bring together artists from various genres on one stage.

Beyond the performances, 'Sand in My Boots' offered attendees a range of curated experiences. Festivalgoers could participate in activities like the '98 Braves Park tailgate, the Sunset Salon for styling services, and the Monster Energy Beach Club dance parties. Unique features included the 'Love Somebody Lane' for on-site weddings and the 'Up Down Cap n' Gown Commencement Ceremony' for those celebrating graduations.

The festival coincided with the release of Wallen's fourth studio album, 'I'm the Problem,' on May 16. During his headlining set, Wallen debuted several tracks from the album, including “Superman,” “I Got Better,” “Kick Myself,” and the title track. He also brought guest performers Bailey Zimmerman and ERNEST on stage, concluding the night with fan favorites like “Last Night” and “The Way I Talk.”

The success of 'Sand in My Boots' underscored Wallen's influence in the music industry. Despite past controversies, his ability to draw massive crowds and curate a festival that resonates with a wide audience demonstrates his enduring popularity. The event not only celebrated his music but also positioned Wallen as a central figure in redefining contemporary American culture and entertainment.

Following the festival, Wallen is set to embark on his 'I'm the Problem' tour, beginning June 20 in Houston, Texas. The tour will feature performances across North America, with notable guests such as Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, and Thomas Rhett on select dates.
