In an interview with The Guardian, Siwa confirmed the romantic nature of her relationship with Hughes, stating, "It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him, and he’s the same way."

They were recently seen on a romantic countryside walk near Hughes's home in the Cotswolds, where Hughes affectionately kissed Siwa's neck.
