The 25th annual BET Awards, celebrating a quarter-century of Black excellence in entertainment, will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is set to host the event, marking his return to the BET Awards stage after previously hosting in 2011.

This year's ceremony will honor four legendary figures with the prestigious Ultimate Icon Award: Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, and Kirk Franklin. These artists have made significant contributions to music, entertainment, and culture, shaping the landscape of their respective genres.

The BET Awards 2025 will feature performances by some of the biggest names in music, including Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Leon Thomas. These artists are expected to deliver electrifying performances that celebrate the richness and diversity of Black music.

Kendrick Lamar leads this year's nominations with ten nods, including Album of the Year for "GNX" and Best Male Hip Hop Artist. Following closely are Doechii, Drake, Future, and GloRilla, each with six nominations. Other notable nominees include Metro Boomin with five nominations, and SZA and The Weeknd with four each.

In addition to the awards and performances, the ceremony will feature a special tribute to the iconic BET show "106 & Park," celebrating its 25th anniversary. The tribute will reunite former hosts and showcase performances by artists who were integral to the show's success.

The BET Awards 2025 will air live on BET at 8 p.m. ET/PT on June 9. Viewers can also stream the event through the BET website, BET Now app, and various streaming services.

As the BET Awards celebrate 25 years of honoring Black culture and achievements, this year's ceremony promises to be a memorable night filled with tributes, performances, and recognition of outstanding talent.
